Tenure & Promotion
Since the summer of 2004, the Faculty Mentoring Program invited faculty who recently completed their promotion and/or tenure process to contribute a copy of their dossier for the benefit of other junior faculty. A library of approximately 400 successful dossiers from a range of faculty of varied categories and departments are available for faculty to borrow. Currently the library includes dossiers contributed by all faculty categories. The dossiers follow criteria for renewal, promotion and tenure, but vary in styles of writing and presentation. Comparative reviewing can be very helpful to faculty at any stage of dossier development.
If you are faculty currently preparing for contract renewal, tenure and/or promotion, we invite you to come by the Faculty Mentoring Program in Kuykendall 107-108, Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 4:00pm (excluding state holidays) to visit the collection. We have an area to sit down and read through dossiers, or borrowing can be arranged.
Due to high demand and walk-ins on the weekdays, we allow borrowing and check-out of dossiers from 1:00pm on Friday to 10:00am on Monday.
Summer months: Due to staff shortages in the summer months, you may wish to call (956-9567) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) before visiting the library.
